The fees for these examinations, for full-time students, are as follows:

The Department will pick up the full examination fee for the P/1 and FM/2 examinations and 50% of the examination fees for the other examinations subject to the conditions outlined below.
If you need to pay for a part of the examination fee, you should attach a cheque, made payable to 'The University of Michigan,' to your paper application for your portion of the fee.
If you
- have paid your SAM membership dues by 10/1/2011 for this academic year (2011-12)
- have accumulated a total of 14 Attendance/participation points during the fall semester and 12 Attendance/participation points during the Winter semester
- have successfully completed Mathematics 425 (for Exam P/1); Mathematics 424 (for Exam FM/2); Mathematics 423 (for Exam MFE); Mathematics 520/521 (for Exam MLC); or the relevant Department of Mathematics' courses for the other examinations
- are a declared Actuarial or Financial Mathematics major
- have not previously received support from the Department for a particular examination
- have a completed resume on file with the Career Centre
** career preparation/development events (such as info sessions) count as 3 points while internal events (such as IM sports) count as 2 points toward participation tally
** during the fall semester, members applying for examinations that require an application before Dec. 10th will have to had accumulated 10 (>70%) of their attendance credits to be eligible for subsidies on examinations administered in January
then you are eligible to have some, or all, of your examination fee paid by the Department.
Applications must be printed, filled out, and dropped off at Huntington's office by the due date. They can be found at here .
Note
Subsidization will be provided only once during the academic year 2011–2012 to a maximum of $200.00 per individual student. (NOTE: This is a change from the subsidization policy of years before 2008.)
No subsidization will be paid for any student registering for more than one examination during any regular examination period.
Validation by Education Experience
To get VEE credits, candidates can complete the required VEE approved courses offered by a college or university. Candidates must receive a grade of B– or better in each course unless otherwise noted. SoA VEE information
