SAM offers information on the actuarial field, networking opportunities with companies hiring actuarial students, sports, social events and exam subsidies.
How To Join
Pay the SAM dues. To pay dues, please bring $30 ($35 if you pay after Sept 30th) in cash or check made out to University of Michigan to one of the SAM board members, to Professor Huntington,or to the envelope outside of 3080 East Hall (only checks if brought to 3080 East Hall). Along with the $35 you need to include your name, uniqname, UMID number, and tshirt size so we can ensure that you are eligible to receive exam subsidies. .
***Please note, if you join(ed) after Sep 30th, you will NOT be eligible for the exam subsidies!
After Joining
Once you have paid your dues, please be sure to join SAM's facebook group in order to get updates and invitations for upcoming events.
Be sure to take a moment to look over the Exams page, making sure you are aware of the requirements to receive a subsidy. Prof. Huntington will send out e-mails regarding the application process and deadlines.
