A group theoretic application of the Marden conjecture Topological tameness and the covering theorem can be used to prove that finitely generated subgroups of lattices in PSL(2,C) are closed in the pro-normal topology. This has corollaries about maximal subgroups and pro-dense subgroups. Joint with Glasner and Souto.
