Assessment

Evaluation of our learning methods is critical to our success as it will help us identify
the best approaches to learning. Since its inception, the Center has developed and conducted assessment of its courses in collaboration with the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching at the University of Michigan, and an independent assessor,
B. Black. Our current tools include:

  • pre- and post surveys
  • focus group interviews
  • instructor interviews
  • videotaping

We are planning further development and long term assessment of effectiveness in part in collaboration with a national assessment of all five Centers.
