Tenured
and Tenure Track Positions
Pending authorization, the Department of Mathematics anticipates having an opening at the tenure-track or tenured level, beginning in September 2013. Candidates should hold a PhD in mathematics or a related field, e.g. Statistics, and should show outstanding promise and/or accomplishments in both research and teaching. There is a position joint with the Department of Statistics, but truly exceptional candidates from any area of pure, applied, computational or interdisciplinary mathematics will be considered. Salaries are competitive and are based on credentials.
Junior candidates should furnish a placement dossier consisting of a letter of application, curriculum vitae and three letters of recommendation; senior candidates should send a letter of application, curriculum vitae and names of three suggested references. In all cases, please provide a statement of teaching philosophy and experience, evidence of teaching excellence and a statement of current and future research plans.
