MMSS Program Fees
Two 2 week sessions are offered and students may elect to attend one or both sessions. A single course is elected for each session and class runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm with an hour break for lunch. Sessions run Monday through Friday for two weeks.
Session I: June 27 – July 8, 2005 (There is class on the 4th of July)
Commuter Students (Both Sessions) - $2,000.00
Session II: July 11 – July 22, 2005
Commuter Students (1 Session) - $1,000.00
Residential Students (1 Session) - $1,600.00
Residential Students (Both Sessions) - $3,200.00
Residential students will stay in a University residence hall and eat at a residence hall cafeteria. Rooms are typically 2 students per room. There are many organized activities after hours and on the weekend that all students are invited to participate in. Students should bring some spending money with them for evening activities and extra meals.
Note that Residential Students are served breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the weekends, a reduced meal plan is provided.
Optional activities include a trip to Saturday trip to the Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio ($60), and a trip to a Detroit Tigers game ($30).
Other optional fees associated with the MMSS program include an air conditioner for 2 weeks ($240) and an airport pickup/return service ($40).
Financial Support for Students
To be considered for financial support, it will be necessary to provide us with a copy of your parents' or guardians' 2004 tax return. We cannot consider your application for financial aid until we have this document. Include any additional documentation describing extenuating circumstances as additional justification.
MMSS Refund Policy
As noted in the application, the $100 application fee will be applied towards your tuition and fees if you are admitted and returned to you if you are not admitted. The balance of the program tuition and fees will be due by May 27, 2005.
In the event that you have to withdraw from the MMSS program, the following refund policy will apply and a check will be issued to you at the end of the camp:
