A Typical Day at MMSS
(Please note that this is an example day and not everyone will experience the same thing. This one day's schedule is fabricated and your own experience might slightly vary from what is described below. It is designed to give participants and their parents a general sense of what most days will look like, on average. The below fabricated narration is to take place on the first Friday of either session for a student in the Genes to Genomics course.)
7:30 AM: Wake up in Markley Residence Hall. Take a shower, get ready, and head to breakfast at the dining hall.
7:58 AM: Arrive at Hill Dining Center. Hill is located in Mosher-Jordan Hall and is about 150 yards away from Markley. Items for each day's menu can be found here: http://www.housing.umich.edu/dining/menus/#/marketplace
8:40 AM: Return to room, pack backpack, and walk with fellow students to class (Genes to Genomics) located on the fourth floor of the USB (Undergraduate Science Building). Most morning commutes for students are under 10 minutes from the residence hall.

10:40 AM: Class resumes.
Noon: Class ends for the morning. Walk back to the Hill Dining Center with fellow students. Eat lunch.

3:00 PM: Take 10 minute break.
3:10 PM: Afternoon lab resumes.
4:30 PM: Finish experiments for the day, clean up, and return to residence hall.

5:20 PM: Arrive at dining center and eat dinner. Evening meals are available from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Over dinner fellow students discuss the day's events, and more importantly, the evening's planned activities.
6:30 PM: Decide which evening activity to participate in and then return to room to get ready.
