Mathematics and the Internet

It's the last day of the course. Everyone's feeling tired, either from the long hours for the past 9 days, or from sleeping late at night, very late at night. We started off with the students doing course evaluations, followed by group pictures because sadly, the Koreans had to part ways at about 10. After bidding them farewell, Mark gave the students 14 problems to solve, all of which when combined, will spell the location of the restaurant where we will be having lunch. It was an intense two hours of putting everything that they've learned in the past nine days into application. And the students didn't disappoint. They came up with the answer right at noon, and we all headed to 812 Monroe St - Dominick's. After lunch, we went to 'paint the Rock' that is supposed to be a memorial for George Washington. Everyone had fun executing their 'graffiti' despite the scorching sun. Back to class, Mark gave the students each a chance to ask him a question in anonymity, and he answered all of them. Then it was a relaxed conversation on some of college life and card shuffling and other trivial stuff. And then, it was time for everyone to say goodbye. Hopefully, we'll see each other in the U of M soon.
