,   Email:  @umich.edu Research Area(s): News Kannan Soundararajan has been awarded the First SASTRA Ramanujan Prize.        2005 The prize is given to mathematicians not exceeding the age of 32 for outstanding contributions in areas of mathematics influenced by Ramanujan.
