Algebra/Algebraic Geometry

Personal Home Page

My recent work concerns formulas for degeneracy loci in algebraic geometry, and their relation to equivariant cohomology and combinatorics. This area started in 1849 when Cayley found formulas for loci where matrices failed to have full rank, and it has provided a challenge to intersection theory ever since. Recent work extends the study to all the classical groups.
