Abstract

This talk will review the problem of modeling radiation propagation in a "random" physical system, consisting of "chunks" of two materials with randomly-positioned interfaces. Physical applications of this methodology will be discussed, together with classical and new mathematical models, and numerical results that illustrate the accuracy of the models.
