Title: Singularities: characteristic zero versus positive characteristic
Abstract: A very basic invariant of the singularities of a polynomial at a point is its multiplicity. I will discuss two ``fancy" versions of this invariant, and connections between them. The first one lives (mostly) in characteristic zero and can be described as an integrability exponent. The second one lives in positive characteristic, and owes its existence to the Frobenius homomorphism.
