Mathematics Colloquium EVENT DETAIL Date:  Tuesday, March 10, 2009 Title:  Bounded Cohomology Abstract:  We will discuss various notions of boundedness for the cohomology of a Lie group and we will sketch a proof of a generalization of a theorem due to Gromov concerning the boundedness of primary characteristic classes.
