Title: Modern Moduli Invariants and Physics
Abstract: The investigation of enumerative invariants of moduli spaces in geometry has been inspired by both classical enumerative geometry and by physics in the form of gauge theory and string theory. In this talk, I will focus on Gromov-Witten invariants and Donaldson-Thomas invariants, which are respectively associated with closed string theory and open string theory. Within string theory, these invariants become related by string dualities, leading to deep conjectures and results in mathematics.
