Mathematics Colloquium EVENT DETAIL Date:  Tuesday, April 05, 2011 Title:  Gelfand Kirillov dimension of representations Abstract:  We will discuss what “smaller” means in the comparison of infinite dimensional representations. The invariant we will consider is the Gelfand Kirillov (GK) dimension. We will consider the families of discrete series that are extrema for GK dimension.
