Title: Algebraic geometry of K3 surfaces via derived categories (Special time, 3:10-4)
Abstract: Concrete geometric problems can sometimes be dealt with by
means of the homological algebra encoded by the derived category of
coherent sheaves. I will discuss a few such problems for K3 surfaces,
explain how derived categories enter, and make some general remarks
on the role of derived categories in the classification of algebraic varieties.
