UM PDE Reading Group: Fall 2011

Time/Location: Tue 12pm-1pm (EH 4096), Fri 10am-11am (EH 3096)
University of Michigan Department of Mathematics

We will be talking about various advanced topics in PDE. The plan for this semester is to begin with some basic background material on PDE and then discuss viscosity solutions for second order PDE. Later in this semester or next semester, we plan to cover microlocal analysis and the renormalization group approach to perturbation theory. For more information, contact Jeff Calder (jcalder@). To join our mailing list, go to mcommunity.umich.edu , log in with your umich uniqname, search for "pde-reading-group," and join the group.

The department has implemented a new online seminar announcement system. The schedule for our seminar will be available through that website.
