What is the Rees algebra of a module?
In this talk we will show how the Rees algebra can be made into a functor
on modules over a ring in a way that extends the classical definition for
ideals. As applications, we will discuss the notion of order ideals and
present a generalized Krull height theorem. This is an expository talk
following a couple of papers by D. Eisenbud, C. Huneke, B. Ulrich.
