Higher direct images of dualizing sheaves
Abstract: I will talk about Koll\'ar's article bearing the same title in
which he proves that higher direct images of dualizing sheaves have many
properties in common with dualizing sheaves. The prototypical example of
this phenomenon is that they satisfy a Kodaira type vanishing theorem.
After an overview of the technical results of his paper (this is the
interesting part of it) I will present the proof of a simplified version.
