Bounds on Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity and some computational
issues in projective geomtery
In this talk I will try to present some bounds on the Castelnuovo-
Mumford regularity of projective schemes in terms of degrees of
"defining equations". One of the motivations for finding such
bounds are coming from computational issues, which I will
illustrate by one or two examples. Then I will turn to the
main techniques we used for proving such bounds, after a brief
overview of some results about Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity.
