Introduction to K3 surfaces
Abstract:
In the classification of surfaces, K3 surfaces are the simplest class of
surfaces whose study does not involve the study of curves or complex tori.
They give a lot of examples and therefore a fairly solid ground to test
results and apply the machinerie of algebraic geometry. So I will try here
to present the basic properties of K3 surfaces, their linear systems and
hopefully elementary facts about their moduli.
