Title: The multiplier ideal of monomial ideals


Abstract: Although multiplier ideals are important in geometry it is quite difficult to compute them in general. In this talk we will discuss the case of the multiplier ideal of a monomial ideal. We will show how the Newton polytope of a monomial ideal is closely related to its multiplier ideal and look at some related examples.
