Student Commutative Algebra Date:  Wednesday, February 06, 2013 Location:  2866 East Hall (3:00 PM to 4:00 PM) Title:  Tight closure of ideals Abstract:   We will define the notion of tight closure of ideals in Noetherian rings of prime characteristic p>0 and prove properties of tight closure some of which will allow us to reduce to the case of reduced rings or domains.
