Title:  What gaussian processes can do for you: applications of probability and geometry in theoretical computer science

Abstract:   In this expository talk, I'll give an introduction to gaussian processes and how they can be useful in theoretical computer science. In addition to discussing how to use this toolkit, I will highlight some recent applications in TCS, including results in compressed sensing, coding theory, and graph theory.
