Title: A variational problem in CR Geometry.
Abstract: I will discuss a variational problem in CR geometry and related inequalities on volumes of holomorphic images of domains in complex Euclidean space. The main idea is to replace a function with another function that agrees on the boundary and study the effect on the integral of the Monge-Ampere determinant. One corollary is a sharp upper bound for the volume of the image of the unit ball under a proper polynomial mapping of a given degree.
