Title: Arc diagrams and characters of Lie superalgebras
Abstract: We present a combinatorial tool called arc diagrams for studying the highest weights of finite dimensional representations of the general linear superalgebra gl(m,n). We recently used this tool to prove the Kac-Wakimoto character formula which was stated in 1994, and obtain a description of the modules to which this formula applies; namely modules whose (generalized) Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials are monomials. Interestingly, the super-Schur polynomials appear as the characters of a special subclass of these modules. In this talk, we will play with these diagrams and explore their nice properties.
