Title:  Electrical Networks and Electrical Lie algebras of classical Lie type

Abstract:   Curtis-Ingerman-Morrow studied the space of circular planar electrical networks. Lam and Pylyavskyy introduced an electrical Lie algebra such that the positive part of the electrical Lie group EL_{2n} acts on circular planar electrical networks via some natural combinatorial operations. In this talk, I will present some work towards finding the structure of the electrical Lie algebras of types B, C, D. Then I will introduce mirror symmetric circular planar electrical networks. It turns out that the positive part of electrical Lie algebra of type B may have an action on such networks. I will give some evidence of this by introducing the mirror symmetric square move.
