Title: Teaching Applied Linear Algebra through Projects
Abstract: For this term and the previous one, we've been trying to make our students in Math 214 (Applied Linear Algebra) work through some large non-trivial examples in group projects. I'll talk about what seems to have worked, what doesn't, and things we still don't know. All of this is very informal impressions, and there is lots we don't know.
