Title: Categorifying quantum sl2
Abstract: The action of quantum sl2 on one its finite dimensional irreducible representations can be lifted to a categorical action on an additive category whose Grothendieck group is the original representation. This action on the categorification lead Frenkel to conjecture that quantum sl2 could be categorified. In 2008, Aaron Lauda verified this conjecture by categorifying quantum sl2 through the cohomology rings of flag varieties. In this talk I will present the Lauda's categofication, which arose from a bilinear pairing on quantum sl2. I will also introduce the diagrams that accompany the resulting 2-category.
