Title: Academic Careers @ Liberal Arts Colleges: Panel Discussion
Abstract: Hosted by Associate Chair, Karen Smith, five mathematicians with Michigan connections will discuss their careers at liberal arts colleges. Please come learn about this career path and get to know some fascinating mathematicians engaged in rewarding work. In conjunction with this panel, we are also hosting research talks earlier this week: Irena Swanson in the Commutative Algebra Seminar (Thursday, Feb. 22 at 3:00 pm) and our three UM PhDs (Panelists: Birgen, Snipes, Stephenson) at 3:00 pm Friday, February 23rd in room 3088 EH.
