Title: A proposal for nonabelian mirror symmetry
Abstract: At the beginning of the talk, we will give a short review of gauged linear sigma models (GLSMs) from a physical point of view, and will quickly mention some new developments in GLSMs in the physics literature. After that, we will review the HoriVafa mirror construction of mirror of 2d abelian gauge theories. Finally, we propose the mirror construction for nonabelian GLSMs, solving a longstanding open problem. Several nontrivial examples will be discussed, and the proposal satises a number of consistency checks, including (but not limited to): matching quantum cohomology rings (twisted chiral rings) with the mirror Jacobi rings (chiral rings), matching (topological) correlation functions, for CalabiYau cases, correct central charges, etc.
