Title:  Mathematical Practices in the Classroom

Abstract:   In this seminar we will watch video of a mathematics classroom at the University of Michigan with the aim of exploring how the mathematical practices we have been discussing appear, are taught, and are cultivated. The session will be focused on the discussion of the practices, and will be facilitated by Hanna Bennett, UM Department of Mathematics, and Vilma Mesa, UM School of Education.
