The SIAM student chapter of the University of Michigan hosted the second annual student conference on applied mathematics on November 12, 2011. Event page.
- On April 8th, 2011, former chapter president Jingchen Wu received a Certificate of Recognition for his service to the chapter.
- AIM Meet and Greet:
The SIAM Student Chapter at U-M hosted a meet & greet for the current AIM students, faculty, and prospective AIM students on Friday March 18th, 2011 at 4pm in 1084 East Hall. Snacks and refreshments were served.
- 1st Annual University of Michigan SIAM Student Conference:
On November 13th, 2010, the SIAM Student Chapter hosted the U-M SIAM Student Conference in Applied Mathematics. Professors Peter Miller and Ian Hiskens gave the keynote addresses and 17 students gave talks. For more information, please visit the conference website.
