Available Departmental Scholarships As of Fall 2010, the Department of Mathematics is supplying scholarships to 55 students in the amount of $166,033.38, of these students 17 are first year students who have committed to Mathematics but not yet officially declared. We currently have 405 declared majors, so we are giving scholarships to approximately 13% of our majors. M.S. Keeler Department of Mathematics Merit Scholarships Award Amount: $1,000-$5,000 per year for up to 4 years. Number Awarded: The number of Keeler Merit Scholarships awarded varies depending on the number of qualified students. Award Criteria: Prospective students presenting outstanding mathematical talent as evidenced by coursework and competitions and/or Current Undergraduates presenting outstanding mathematical talent as evidenced by coursework and competitions; must major in Mathematics. Margaret S. Huntington Award in Actuarial Outreach Award Amount: $1,000 Number Awarded: Up to 10, depending on the qualifications and accomplishments of the applicant pool. Award Criteria: First and second year students, at most second term in residence, with a grade of A- or better in the following courses in the Fall of 2011: 115,116, 156,175, 185, 215, 285, 295.
