Prerequisites: Math 215, 255 or 285 (Mutivariable Calculus)

Text: A First Course in Probability (7th edition) by Sheldon Ross, Prentice Hall 2005

Topics to be covered: Chapters 1-8 of the textbook. That means that the speed of the class is going to be about 10 pages per class, or 1 section per class.

Homework: one homework set per week. No late homework will be accepted.

Exams: two midterm exams (Oct. 6, Nov. 10, during class) and one final exam (comprehensive). All exams are in-class, closed-book tests.

Grading: first midterm (10%), second midterm (20%), final (45%), homework (25%)
