Calculator/computer policy:

Calculators/computers are not allowed on exams or quizzes.


The final grade will be computed from the following:

Homework: 20 %
Quizzes: 10 %
Two midterm exams: 20 % each
Final exam: 30 %

Homework problem sets will be given once a week, to be turned in the following week. No late homeworks will be accepted. Similarly, quizzes can not be made up.


First midterm exam: Friday, February 9, in class
Second midterm exam: Friday, March 16, in class
Final exam: Thursday, April 19, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. in Chemistry 1640
