Calculator/computer policy:

Calculators/computers are not allowed on exams or quizzes.


The final grade will be computed from the following:

Homework: 20 %
Quizzes: 10 %
Two midterm exams: 20 % each
Final exam: 30 %

Homework problem sets will be given once a week, to be turned in the following week. No late homeworks will be accepted. Similarly, quizzes cannot be made up.


First midterm exam: Thursday, October 12, in class
Second midterm exam: Thursday, November 16, in class
Final exam: Friday, December 15, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., in Angell Hall Auditorium D
