Broadly speaking, I am interested in Applied Mathematics. Specifically, I am interested in applying (partial and ordinary) differential equation theory to problems arising in biological systems. I have done significant work studying how the immune system fights bacterial infection and tumour development, I am now involved in a project where we are modeling pattern formation in the Arabidopsis root. This is an exciting, collaborative, project involving Professors in the Math and Cell. & Dev. Biol. Departments and undergrads in the SUBMERGE program.
