Prof. Miller works generally in the area of applied analysis, with specific interests in integrable systems, nonlinear waves, and random matrix theory. Asymptotic methods play a central role in his work.

He is currently serving as the Director of the graduate program in Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics.
